Acceptable Use Policy

1. Illegal content and activity

Do not use Spanli for anything that breaks the law that applies to you, to us, or to the people who will see your site. That includes, but is not limited to, content that:

• sexually exploits or endangers a child, in any form, including material that is drawn, written or generated;
• advertises or facilitates human trafficking, forced labour or the exploitation of any person;
• sells or arranges the sale of controlled drugs, weapons, explosives, stolen goods, counterfeit products, forged documents, or anything else whose sale requires a licence you do not hold;
• incites, threatens, plans or glorifies violence or terrorism, or provides instructions for causing serious harm;
• violates sanctions or export control law, or is operated on behalf of a sanctioned person or entity.

2. Deception and fraud

Do not use Spanli to mislead people. Specifically, do not:

• build phishing pages or any site designed to collect passwords, payment details or personal data under a false identity;
• impersonate a person, business, brand or public body, or present yourself as affiliated with one when you are not;
• operate investment scams, fake stores, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, fake charities, or any offer you do not intend to honour;
• publish fabricated reviews, testimonials, credentials, certifications or endorsements;
• publish AI generated depictions of real people that a reasonable viewer would take to be genuine, in a way that deceives or harms them.

3. Harm to people

Do not publish content that:

• harasses, bullies, threatens or targets a specific person, or organises others to do so;
• attacks or degrades people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity, or promotes a hateful ideology;
• encourages suicide, self-harm or disordered eating, or presents them as desirable;
• publishes someone’s private information without their consent, including home address, identity documents, financial records, medical records or login credentials;
• contains intimate images of a person shared without their consent;
• is pornographic, or is sexual content presented without appropriate access controls and age verification.

4. Other people’s rights

Publish only what you have the right to publish. Do not copy text, images, video, music, fonts, code or design that belongs to someone else without permission, do not use another company’s trademarks in a way that suggests they endorse you, and do not clone an existing website in order to pass yourself off as it. Copyright and trademark complaints are handled through our abuse reporting page.

5. Security and technical abuse

Do not use Spanli to:

• host or distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, exploit kits or stolen credentials;
• attack, probe or disrupt any system, whether ours or anyone else’s, including denial of service attacks and unauthorised scanning;
• circumvent our access controls, quotas, rate limits or billing, or gain access to another customer’s project;
• send bulk unsolicited email, or use a published site as a redirect or landing page for a spam campaign;
• run cryptocurrency mining, proxying, file distribution or other workloads that use our hosting for something other than serving a website.

6. Fair use of the AI builder

The AI assistant costs real money to run, and credits are how we bill it. Do not automate or script the chat interface, resell access to it, use it as a general purpose AI service unrelated to building your website, or run it in a loop to consume resources. Do not attempt to extract our prompts, our models or the internals of the service, and do not use Spanli to build a competing service.

If your usage is unusually heavy but legitimate, we will talk to you about it before doing anything else.

7. Enforcement

We investigate reports and we may act on what we find ourselves. What we do depends on how serious the problem is and whether it looks deliberate. We may:

• ask you to change or remove something;
• remove specific content or unpublish a site;
• suspend a project or an account;
• terminate an account and delete its projects;
• report the matter to law enforcement where the law requires it.

We will normally tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it. We will act immediately and without notice where content is illegal, where someone is at risk, or where the service or another customer is under threat. Child sexual abuse material is removed immediately and reported, with no warning and no appeal.

If you think we got a decision wrong, reply to the message we sent you or write to support@spanli.com and we will review it.

8. Reporting a violation

9. Changes

We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse appear. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
