What's inside
Buy your domain where you build your site.
Search for a name, see what's free and what it costs, and buy it without leaving your project. Because it was bought here, the connecting-up part is ours to do. You don't touch a settings screen.
You type “An operations consultant in Zurich working with scale-ups on delivery and process” - and Spanli assembles the site in front of you: opening, services and rates, how i work, start a conversation. The changes receipt reads: Added: 4 sections - opening, services and rates, how i work, start a conversation.
Sound familiar?
The website was the easy part.
The domain is where people give up: an unfamiliar company, a checkout with six upsells, and then a page of records you're told to edit, next to a warning that getting it wrong can knock out your email. Most people close the tab and keep sending people to a link with somebody else's brand in it.
Step by step
How it works
In the demo beside each claim: the site Spanli built; then the advisory, half day line being corrected - you click it, type “half days are 1,200”, and CHF 1,400 becomes CHF 1,200; then new enquiry arriving in the Spanli inbox.
Search from inside your project
Type the name you want. You'll see which endings are free (.com and the rest) and what each one costs, per year, in plain money.
Buy it there
It's paid for with the card already on your account. No new company, no new password, no upsell page for things you didn't ask for.
We handle the pointing-at
A domain bought through Spanli is connected to your site for you. There is no step where you copy settings from one screen to another. Give it a short while and your site answers at your new name, over a secure connection, with no certificate for you to think about.
Honest about plans: every site gets its own Spanli web address without buying one, and it starts answering the first time you publish. Buying a name works on every plan, the free one included, and it's registered to you whatever you decide next. Pointing a name at your site is part of going live, so that comes with a paid plan: an address aimed at a site the public can't reach has nothing to answer with. The domain itself is bought separately, at its own yearly price, whichever plan you're on.

Already own a name? Connect it
Type it into Spanli, then add the one line we show you at the company you bought it from. That's the whole job: one line, copied once, and we tell you exactly what it is and where it goes.

Renewals stay in one place
Leave a domain renewing automatically so it can't lapse, or switch that off if you'd rather decide each year. Every domain charge appears in your receipts list alongside everything else you've paid for.
Your Spanli address keeps working
Buying a name doesn't take away the address your site already had. Old links keep landing on your site.
Who it's for
Anyone whose name is the product:
consultants who need the address on a business card to be theirs, lawyers where a borrowed-looking link undoes the credibility, personal brand builders replacing a platform profile with their own front door, and writer bloggers who want their archive at an address no platform can take back.

In case you're wondering.
Is the domain actually mine?
Yes. It's registered for you, not lent to you for as long as you stay a customer. The renewal is yours to keep or to cancel, and the name doesn't belong to a template or a platform profile.
Can I use a domain I already have?
Yes, once you're on a plan that puts the site online. Keep the name where you bought it and point it here by adding one line in that company's settings. Spanli shows you the exact line to paste and tells you when your site starts answering at it.
Will this give me email at my domain?
No. Spanli makes and runs your website; it doesn't provide mailboxes, and buying a domain here doesn't set up name@yourdomain for you. If you want email at your name, that comes from an email provider. This is the one thing on this page we'd rather say plainly than fudge.
What if the name I want is taken?
The search shows you what's available across the endings we sell, with the price on each, so you can see the near-misses next to each other rather than guessing one at a time.
Do I have to remember to renew?
Only if you want to. Auto-renew is a switch you control per domain: on, and the name can't quietly lapse; off, and it's your call each year.
