How much of the design do I actually control?
The whole visual language, without writing CSS: overall look, colour, type pairing, navigation style, hero treatment, corner shape, spacing density, background, and how much things move. Every one is a dropdown that redraws the preview as you choose. The AI's version is a starting point you're free to overrule everywhere.
Can I make it feel like a specific site I love?
Yes — paste that site's address and Spanli reads its feel and builds yours in that register. It takes mood, not content: no copied words, no copied images, no cloned layout.
Can I sell prints or commissions through it?
Not with a checkout — that's honestly out of scope. A piece can show a price and take an order enquiry through the form, which lands in one list in your dashboard. When you need real payments you've outgrown this, and we'd rather tell you than half-build a shop.
Do I need to use chat for everything?
No. Adding work and editing text are forms in the dashboard. Chat is for the things a form can't say — "make the whole thing quieter", "give the illustration work its own page".
