Plans and credits
What the free plan gives you, what the paid ones add, and what a credit is spent on.
There are two separate things to understand, and keeping them apart makes the whole thing simple:
- Your plan is what your site can do — its address, how many enquiries it can take, how much room it has for photos. Paid monthly or yearly.
- Credits are what the AI's work costs. Asking for a change spends a few; nothing else does.
The plans
Every account gets one free site, and it stays free.
| Hobby | Pro | Business | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | $9 a month | $29 a month |
| Your own domain name | — | Yes | Yes |
| Credits included each month | — | 200 | 1,000 |
| Enquiries a month | 50 | 5,000 | Unlimited |
| Room for photos and files | 100 MB | 5 GB | 50 GB |
| Build settings | Faster | All three | All three |
Paying for a year costs eleven months instead of twelve. You can move between plans whenever you like, and a change part way through a month is worked out fairly rather than charging you twice.
The free plan is a real site at a real address, not a trial. What it does not include is putting your own domain name on it — see Using your own name.
What a credit is
A credit is the unit Spanli charges for the AI's work. A small change costs a fraction of one; building a whole site from nothing is the expensive thing you will do.
New sites start with enough credits to build the first version of your site, with some room to adjust it afterwards — so you can see what the site is before deciding anything about money.
These spend credits: asking for a change in chat, pointing at something and asking for a fix, and the first build of your site.
These do not: publishing, people visiting your site, enquiries arriving, editing your lists through their forms, inviting people, and anything at all in your settings.
Credits included with a paid plan arrive each month and add to what you already have — an unused month is not taken away from you.
Build settings
Paid plans can ask for more careful work:
- Faster — quick, and what everyone on the free plan gets.
- Standard — a balance of speed and care.
- Higher quality — slower and more thorough, for the jobs worth it.
More thorough work costs more credits, because it is more work. You choose the setting per site, and you can change it whenever.
Buying more credits
You can buy credits at any time without changing your plan — useful in a heavy week of building.
You can also save a card and have Spanli top you up automatically when you drop below a level you choose, so a build never stops half way for want of a few credits. It is off unless you turn it on, it has a monthly limit you set, and it stops on its own if a payment is declined.
Who can see and change all this
Only the site's owner, and anyone you have given the financial role. People invited as editors never see your card, your plan or your credits. See Inviting someone to help.
Plans are priced per site, not per person — adding someone costs nothing extra.
