Your account

Almost everything in Spanli belongs to a site. A small number of things belong to you, and they live in your account.

What is in there

Your display name. What other people on a site see beside your name. Change it whenever.

Your password. You will be asked for your current one before setting a new one. If you cannot remember it, sign out and use the forgotten-password link on the sign-in page instead — that sends you a link by email.

What is not in there

Your plan, your card, your credits, your domain names and the people you have invited are all per site, not per account. They live in that site's settings. See Finding your way around.

That distinction matters if you end up with two sites: they are billed separately, and someone invited to one is not automatically on the other.

Light or dark

The whole of Spanli has a light and a dark version, and there is a toggle to switch between them. It follows your device's own setting until you pick one for yourself, and it remembers your choice.

This is about the Spanli screens you work in — it has nothing to do with how your own website looks to visitors. Whether your site is light or dark is one of the design choices, and you set it separately. See Choosing the look.

Accounts and sites

One account can hold several sites, and one site can have several people on it. The switcher at the top of the sidebar moves between the sites you can reach.

A free account gets one free site. A second one needs a paid plan of its own — plans are priced per site.

Being invited to someone else's site

If somebody invites you, you make your own account from their invitation link. Their site then appears in your switcher alongside anything of your own. Your access is yours, so when they remove you it removes exactly one person and changes nothing else.
